Top Shop only have a small range of laptop cases, but they are really affordable. If your not to worried about looking business like and your looking for funky laptop bags then check out this tropical print case. I’ve included it here in my top 10 due to the funky print rather than how practical or functional it actually is. It’s essentially a canvas case with a simple magdot fastening. If your going to be carrying your computer for any distance you will really miss having a handle to carry it with. However if your looking for something to slip your laptop into to avoid it getting wet and to protect from dust then it’s perfect. A word of warning though it’s made from 100% cotton so don’t be tempted wash it as it could well shrink. Priced at just £18.00 it’s good value and ideal for those looking for a cheap laptop bag.

I have to confess I was expecting to find a much larger choice of laptop bags for women at Debenhams as you would normally expect the department stores to have the best choice. This Jasper Conran design is the most feminine design in their current range and it is both practical and stylish. The hydrangea print is really fashionable this year too. Trimmed in black patent it looks very glossy and professional. Manufactured by the Tripp brand it is undoubtedly good quality and even comes with a five year guarantee. It’s proven to be a big hit with Debenhams customers as they have awarded it 5 out 5 stars in their reviews. Price £74.99.

New for 2012, Cath Kidston have launched a Business Bag range to sit along side their laptop cases and sleeves. The Cath Kidston Business Bag is probably my favourite bag in this top 10 guide to Funky Laptop Bags. Available in a choice of 2 print, the spot print as shown here or a vibrant floral print. It’s the largest bag in the Cath Kidston Laptop collection and has plenty room for all your office essentials with dimensions of 43cms x 33cms. It features internal padding to protect your laptop from knocks and bangs. There is also a pocket that could be used to carry a tablet pc. Made from PVC coated cotton it will be hard wearing and can of course be wiped clean. Price £75.00.

I’ve been a big fan of the Orla Kiely Laptop bags for quite some time but for 2012 the range is much larger. John Lewis actually stock a few laptop cases and sleeves by Orla Kiely. The design I’ve shown here is their best selling bag from the Orla range. It features the funky car park print, though there is a laptop case in the gorgeous scribble print too. It features a smart leather grab handle but also a practical shoulder strap too. Currently in the John Lewis sale it’s a bit of a bargain. Price Was £185.00. Sale Price £125.00.

The only drawback to this bag is that it’s only suitable for small laptops as it is only suitable for computers up 13 inches. Price £139.95.

Think about when and where you will be using your bag. If you are using it for business it’s probably best not to buy a laptop case that is too loud especially if you want to portray a professional image, choose something in black or brown or maybe even a pattern in muted shades. Also you need to think about how much walking your going to be doing. If your the type of Woman that likes shoulder bags then it would make sense to choose a bag with a shoulder strap.
