Here’s what you should know about both Some Kind Of Fabulous and a little bit about me, Andrea.

Confession Number 1)

I’m a self confessed Junkee of all things pretty.  Which is why I started the blog in the first place to share all my fabulous fashion finds.

Confession Number 2)

I wanted a girl. (yes i did just say that out loud)

Though not any more, I’ve found I can have just as much fun, styling my boys,  as any mum of girls can.

One of my proudest moments was when one of the school mums said that my youngest was the best dressed boy at pre-school.  It doesn’t matter if he fails his GCSE’s in later life…he’s respected for his style. ;)

I  love dressing up and shopping for my boys almost as much as I do for myself, so I include features on fabulous kids fashion.

Confession Number 3)

I’m not a size 8 and never have been.

My aim is for Some Kind Of Fabulous to be a Fashion & Style Blog for real women, after all it’s written by a real woman complete with a Mummy Tummy.

Though I do know that just because I have children and the aforementioned Mummy Tummy it doesn’t mean that I can’t look amazing or at least have fun trying.  Just look at Gwyneth Paltrow.  Living proof that there is a life of style after children.

Confession Number 4)

I drink to much coffee and sometimes don’t take my make up off before I go to bed.

It’s my aim to provide beauty tips and review beauty products that are realistic.  I’m a mum, I know you need your caffeine as much as I do, so I won’t be giving silly unrealistic tips like giving up coffee for better skin.  I’ll just tell you to drink more water.

Confession Number 5)

I spend more time on the internet than I do cleaning my house.

Who cares clean houses are for dull women or those lucky enough to have a cleaner.  A spotless house is a sign of a broken computer in my home.

Just because I don’t want to clean my skirting boards doesn’t mean I don’t want to buy pretty things to put in my house.  I also feature here any fabulous homeware that I find on my internet travels.

Confession Number 6)

I’m a Mummy not an alcoholic, I need a glass of red once the kids are in bed.

There is no better way to unwind at the end of a day, than with a good book and a glass of wine.  Any books that I particularly enjoy will be reviewed here.

I’m not the kind of reader that googles what books are cool on the net so that I can name drop, I want to be both entertained and stimulated by the books I read.

So you see, Some Kind Of Fabulous is a Fashion & Lifestyle blog aimed at Women just like me.

I’m a woman that wants it all. Yes i dare to want a Career, a Family and My Figure (oh and not to forget a wardrobe full of pretty things) and i don’t think i’m alone in this.

You’ll notice a fair few ad banners around this site that’s because I’m part of a few affiliate programmes, it seemed pretty sensible to try and earn money from the links that I provide, however I can assure you I will only feature companies, brands and products that I truly love and believe in.

I’m also keen to support women in business, so I’m actively featuring companies that are run by women, for women.

So you see, pretty much everything that you find on this site, really should be, Some Kind Of Fabulous.
